Real Madrid in for Drogba?

Reports in England suggest that a three-way battle to sign Didier Drogba is underway, with Real Madrid named as one of those interested parties.

The Daily Mail report that the former Chelsea man is set to leave Shanghai Shenhua after less than six months in China, because the club are struggling to finance the €12m annual salary promised to the player.

It is understood that Arsenal and Liverpool are keen to bring him back to the Premier League this winter, but that Real have also made initial contact with the striker, who previously enjoyed good form for Chelsea when current Blancos boss Jose Mourinho was manager.
