Reina handed ultimatum

The English Press believes that Spanish goalkeeper Pepe Reina has until January to improve his Liverpool form or be sold by Coach Brendan Rogers.

According to the Daily Mirror, the former Swansea boss has told the Spaniard to recover his impressive form for the Reds or risk being dropped and then sold.

Reina has apparently not adapted to Rogers’s new playing style, despite having played in a similar system for the Spanish national team.

Defenders have been told to retain possession and pass the ball back to the goalkeeper, which has put him under a pressure that the club reportedly believe he has yet to respond to.

Brad Jones and Alexander Doni would be the 30-year-old former Villarreal man’s main competition between the sticks at Anfield.
