Atletico Madrid striker Radamel Falcao would cost Real Madrid over €70m, as his uncle Alex Garcia claims Los Blancos are ‘missing’ a player like his nephew.

According to reports in Mundo Deportivo, the Colombian international would cost Jose Mourinho’s side upwards of €71.2m.

Atleti are understood to be unwilling to negotiate on any future sale, meaning that the player’s extensive buy-out clause and VAT incurred would have to be put up.

The reports come on the back of an excellent start of the season for the 26-year-old which has seen Premier League outfit Chelsea and Russian’s Anzhi Makhachkala linked with his signature along with Real Madrid.

Meanwhile, Falcao’s uncle has followed in the player’s father’s footsteps, in claiming that his nephew is just the player the current Spanish champions need.

“Real Madrid are missing a player like him at the moment. Everything can happen in the world of football, and I think he is a very appetizing prospect for them.”

Garcia also confirmed there have been no disputes between himself and Falcao’s father, despite the pair crossing over statements.
