Bayern Munich midfielder Javi Martinez says he is settling well in Germany, and stressed that he wants to become a key player for the club.
The 23-year-old, who recently moved to the Bavarian giants from Athletic Bilbao for €40m, has also praised team mate Bastian Schweinsteiger, calling him 'a legend'.
“I am comfortable at the club and the city is very beautiful,” he told Bayern's official website. “The first week has gone very quickly, but now I am much more calm and just want to concentrate on my football.
“I'll play wherever the trainer wants me to play and I'm going to give it everything so I can do it well. I'm the kind of player who gives 100 per cent in every game.
“Schweinsteiger is a legend, a great guy. He speaks a bit of Spanish and is trying to help me settle in,” he concluded.
