Falcao ‘dreams of Real Madrid’

Radamel Falcao’s father may have landed his son in it by declaring today that the Colombian holds the ambition of a cross-city switch to Real Madrid.

The Atletico Madrid striker has begun the 2012-13 on top form, having netted consecutive hat-tricks before the international break.

Whilst he is preparing for World Cup qualifying with Colombia, his father has claimed that the player who has been previously linked with Chelsea, Manchester City and Russians Anzhi, harbours a desire to play for Real, Atleti’s fierce city rivals.

“His dream is to one day play for Real Madrid,” Radamel Garcia told Colombian radio show El gran debate de Todelar.

“Always, since childhood, he has wanted to play there. Other international football teams like Manchester City and Chelsea have been interested in him.

“If he cannot go to Madrid, then he would go to English football. Before the UEFA Super Cup I did not know if he was going to be sold or not.

“His future? Of course he wants to go to the World Cup, but, above all, he wants to go to Madrid. He will change his team at the end of the season.”
