President Angel Torres has declared that his Getafe team fully merited their shock 2-1 win over Real Madrid on Sunday night.
The Azulones defeated Los Blancos thanks to a second-half turnaround, one that Torres sees as worthy of his players’ efforts.
“We worked hard in the second half, against the heat and when the team is still not all there. It has been a deserved victory,” he told reporters.
“But, this is just the beginning. We have a good team and a good squad, but we cannot relax, because of the other teams.”
