Michel: We made mistakes

Michel Gonzalez is happy that his Sevilla team picked up the points, but warned that there is work to do to eradicate their errors.

The Rojiblancos defeated Getafe 2-1 at the Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan on Saturday night, but their Coach saw a few avoidable mistakes to their play.

“There have been some good points and some bad. The result has been close and the goal conceded was from our mistake,” Michel reflected to reporters after the game.

“We knew the strength of the opponent, who kept playing, but in the end we have picked up a good result and are feeling good.

“We must understand that what matters is to win. I would rather experience a year like last year again [so Sevilla win].

“There were many things on a team level that were improper tonight and we have spoken, there were no individual errors but ones that need to be corrected by all, but, it is good that the team has not lost focus.”

The Coach was also asked about the transfer market. There are rumours that Federico Fazio is attracting attention.

“The market is what it is and hopefully what happens is that there are no surprise departures. For arrivals we are excited.

“I believe that the team today will be the one I have two weeks from now, although there are advanced negotiations for moves both in and out of the club.

“Sevilla have an emergency plan if there is a sudden sale.”
