Simao Sabrosa is officially an Espanyol player, after the club confirmed that he has signed a two-year contract with them.
The Portuguese winger earlier rescinded his contract with Besiktas and after passing medical examinations this afternoon has now signed a deal with Los Periquitos.
The 32-year-old’s move to the Catalan club appeared to be in doubt earlier this week as talks reportedly broke down, but he has now put pen to paper on a contract to become the club’s fifth signing of the summer.
Simao, who has had previous spells in La Liga with Barcelona and Atletico Madrid, will be presented to the Press on Monday.
