Milan close in on Rami

Adil Rami is expected to complete formalities in the next day or two over a loan move from Valencia to Milan.

The defender has been in talks with the Rossoneri this week, with Los Che open to his immediate departure after a recent outburst against his teammates and Coach.

On from President Amadeo Salvo confirming that talks are ongoing with the Italians, reports today are that terms are almost set in place.

Gazzetta dello Sport suggest the 27-year-old will be in Milan by the end of this week to undergo medical tests ahead of signing off on the deal.

It is understood that Milan will cover Rami’s €1.2m salary from the start of January, when they can officially register him, but that from now he will join up with his new teammates in training.

Il Diavolo have also apparently agreed a fee, believed set for between €6m and €7m, to then sign the French international in the summer on a permanent basis, but that this purchase clause will not be mandatory.

Should Milan exercise the option in June, then Rami will reportedly sign up on a four-year contract agreed already that will boost his annual wage up to €2.2m.
