Suarez wants to leave Liverpool

Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid target Luis Suarez has confirmed that he intends to leave Liverpool this summer.

The Uruguayan complained earlier this week of his treatment by the British media during his spell at Anfield and then opened up the possibility of a move to Madrid.

In talking once more to Uruguayan media whilst out on international duty, Suarez confirmed his intention is to leave the Premier League side.

“It is a difficult moment for me. My Coach and my colleagues know that they [the media] didn't treat me well,” explains the 26-year-old today.

“Because of the paparazzi I could not go in my garden, I could not go to the supermarket. My reason for leaving is not the money. It's my family and image. I don't feel comfortable here anymore.

“I know it is normal to be followed by the press but it was too much. All the silly things they said, all the pictures, all the taunts. That happened every day and nobody [in the Press] supported me.

“They talk about me being named the best player in England but I knew that wasn't going to happen because of the way they treated me.

“And the straw that broke the camel's back was my mistake [biting Branislav Ivanovic]. I accept it was my fault, but they went too far.”
