Barcelona are set to sanction the sale of Marc Cucurella to Getafe after re-signing the player from Eibar, according to reports.
Earlier this week, the Catalan giants bought the player back from the Basque side for a €4m fee having sold him for €2m following a pre-agreed contractual agreement in his loan move for last season.
In a convoluted operation, it had previously been speculated that the left-back – who has also been linked to both Milan and Borussia Dortmund – will then be made available for a permanent sale for €10m.
However, a fresh report from highly reputable Spanish journalist Ruben Uria now says that Cucurella is set to complete a move to Getafe, who have beaten competition from several Bundesliga teams.
The full-back made 33 first-team appearances at Ipurua last season and has shown a lot of potential, to attract scouts from several leading European clubs.
Cucurella is also a Spain youth international, having represented his country between Under-16 and Under-20 levels.
Ironically, the wing back scored just one goal this season and that was in his final game – against Barcelona.
