Ajax midfielder Frenkie De Jong has chosen to join Paris Saint-Germain ahead of Barcelona, according to a report in De Telegraaf.
The report in the Dutch outlet claims De Jong closed the agreement with representatives of the Parisian club in Amsterdam on Thursday.
PSG’s sporting director Antero Henrique was said to be present at the meeting and the Ligue 1 champions are said to have sanctioned a €75m move for the player.
The Dutch international has reportedly told Ajax to allow the sale to be processed and should the green light be given, he will be playing in Paris next season.
De Jong is said to have been a prime transfer target for both Barca and Manchester City, although the Parc des Princes is said to be his favoured destination.
The 21-year-old has won five caps for The Netherlands and has made 62 first-team appearances for Ajax.
