Sevilla will exercise their €30m option to sign striker Andre Silva permanently despite Milan wanting the striker to return.
The Andalusian club’s Director of Football Joaquin Caparros has reassured the club’s fans they will sign the Portugal international against the wishes of the Rossoneri.
The former Porto striker netted just twice in Serie A for the Milanese giants last season but already has netted seven La Liga goals in 11 appearances this campaign.
“The fans can rest assured, the player will stay with us with a contract for many seasons,” Caparros told Sevilla’s website.
“We have the will and the opportunity to keep the player here. Milan can say what they want, they’re looking at him again as are many other clubs who want him, but no-one can do anything.
“We have this option to buy and at the end of the season, or even before, we’ll exercise it.”
