Paris Saint-Germain see Antoine Griezmann as ‘Neymar replacement’

Paris Saint-Germain have drawn up a contingency plan should Neymar leave the club with Atletico Madrid’s Antoine Griezmann the main target, say reports.

The Brazilian forward has been strongly linked with a return to Barcelona – whom he left for the Parisians for €222m last year – or a future move to Real Madrid.

Neymar’s reported unhappiness in the French capital has led to PSG putting in place a plan should such a sale take place and according to OK Diario, Griezmann is at the heart of it.

This is despite the Frenchman committing his long-term to Atleti, signing a new contract to 2023 this summer amid rejecting the chance to join Barca.

Griezmann’s reported release clause now stands at €150m at Los Rojiblancos, meaning PSG would be in a position to sign him and make a profit in the region of €80m alongside a Neymar sale.
