Adrien Rabiot rejects fresh Paris Saint-Germain deal

Adrien Rabiot has rejected a fourth contract extension offer from Paris Saint-Germain as his exit from the club edges nearer, say reports.

Diario Sport report the French champions offer to extend the central midfielder’s offer was increased from €7m annually plus bonuses to €9m plus bonuses.

The 23-year-old, who was excluded from France’s World Cup squad this summer, sees his contract in Paris expire next summer which has led to transfer speculation over an exit next year.

Barcelona are said to lead the chase for Rabiot’s signature, and he would only consider renewing at PSG for a base rate of €10m annually, which could compromise their UEFA Financial Fair Play position.

The Catalan giants were strongly linked to Rabiot this summer but instead signed Arthur Melo and Arturo Vidal to replace the outgoing Andres Iniesta and Paulinho.
