Bayern want permanent James deal

Bayern Munich are keen on a permanent deal for playmaker James Rodriguez, who is in the midst of a two-year loan move from Real Madrid.

The 26-year-old has made 24 appearances for the German club since his move from Madrid last summer, with Sport Bild reporting they now want a permanent move.

The Bundesliga leaders have the option of signing the Colombian on a permanent basis for €35m this summer due to their satisfaction with his performance level.

Bayern initially paid Los Blancos €10m for a two-year loan deal with the €35m option to sign him at any point during this tenure, in addition to an €8m annual salary.

The former Porto playmaker joined Madrid from Monaco in the summer of 2014.
