West Ham think of Sanchez Flores

West Ham United are considering an approach for Espanyol Coach Quique Sanchez Flores, according to reports in Spain.

The 52-year-old has previously managed in England, having spent the 2015-16 campaign at the helm of Watford whom he led to the FA Cup semi-finals and a comfortable mid-table position.

The former Spain international then signed a three-year contract at the Catalan club in the summer of 2016 and is one of two candidates being considered by the Hammers alongside current Fulham boss Slavisa Jokanovic, say Diario Sport.

The East London club have ‘lost faith’ in current manager Slaven Bilic despite last weekend’s 1-0 win at home to Swansea lifting them out of the Premier League’s bottom three.

The report states Sanchez Flores and Espanyol may agree to part ways next summer, despite a further year remaining on the contract, due to a less-than-happy working relationship at times.

However, West Ham may seek to change managers sooner and Fulham are said to have already begun their search for replacements for Jokanovic.
