Real Madrid full-back Dani Carvajal has rued his side spurning ‘two golden chances’ during Sunday’s 2-2 draw with Valencia at the Bernabeu.
A double from Marco Asensio earned Zinedine Zidane’s side a point but a host of missed opportunities, including from French striker Karim Benzema, ensured Los Che left with a point.
“We have managed a draw and to secure a point but the truth is we had two golden chances we did not take,” Carvajal is quoted as saying by Marca.
“Asensio? He is clearly a great player who is set for massive things, he is proving his worth every week and right now it is helping us a lot.
“Valencia are a fantastic, massive club and were a strong opponent – while we did not make the most of our chances they took advantage and deserve a lot of credit.”
