Djukic: Valencia-Valladolid replay fair

Miroslav Djukic is adamant that Real Valladolid must replay the final minute of their fixture against Valencia, else fair play does not exist in Spain.

Valladolid are incensed by the final 60 seconds of play from their weekend match at Mestalla, when a throw-in awarded to them was then taken by Los Che, ahead of Jonas then scoring a match-winning stoppage-time goal for the hosts.

The Castilian outfit appealed to the Spanish Football Federation to replay this final minute of play on the argument that there was a clear refereeing error.

Whilst the RFEF concurred on the latter, they did not see room for the possibility of a replay.

Even so, Djukic is still pushing today for the play to be repeated, assessing that more than the dropped point for Valladolid is at stake.

“The only solutions is the fairest and that is we have to repeat the last minute because there should be no doubt,” the Coach told reporters today.

“We are talking about an irregular action. A lot depends on it. It is not just about a point for Real Valladolid.

“There is no point putting on a shirt for fair play, the act alone is worthless. It is all a lie.

“In Spain there are currently too many are willing to be clever. But it is not that some are clever and others are arseholes, this throw-in was taken by a team other than that allowed to take it.

“They have to make decisions. Currently, there is a conservatism at the top of the game. It is not only about Valladolid’s misfortune, it is about a lot of values.

“It’s time someone drew the line – what is smart and what is dumb. If we go down this road then things will not change, we will end up getting worse.

“Righteousness is easy – I want it applied else I do not want it.”
