Garcia laments poor finishing

An inability to find the back of the net when on top was the difference between Getafe and Real Betis on Monday night, believes Luis Garcia Plaza.

“In the first half we were the better team but in the second we were not successful in key moments,” the Coach commented after his side’s 4-2 defeat at the Coliseum Alfonso Perez.

“We had just started the second half and had a clear chance to go 1-0 up and then the match would have been different.

“The first half they were not there and in the second we were at a level where we could have gotten what we wanted. We did much damage here.

“We were at our level, we have created chances, we were in the danger zones, but we were not successful,” the Coach continued to suggest.

“There have been two important moments, one for Alvaro Vazquez when it was 0-0 and we could have scored and then the foul awarded on Benat.

“We have to raise ourselves because this is going to be very long and very hard. The team is doing things well to win and we are in mid-table.

“In the first half we could have scored a goal, because we were dangerous with Pedro Leon and Valera, but we lacked the precision at times.”
