Real Madrid are back to the top of La Liga after a narrow 1-0 victory over Getafe in Sunday’s Madrid derby. Here’s how their players fared at the Coliseum.
Player ratings
Thibaut Courtois – 6.5
Had little to do, but made a huge save in the dying stages to stop Abu Kamara scoring an equaliser for the hosts.
Federico Valverde – 7
Looked very comfortable at right-back, dealt with his defensive duties well and was involved a lot in attack.
Eder Militao – 7
Assured performance from the Brazil international, who keeps building up appearances following his long-term ACL injury.
David Alaba – 6
Looked solid when on the pitch, taken off at half time by Xabi Alonso.
Alvaro Carreras – 7
Looked best to his best, having had a couple of uncomfortable performances in recent weeks.
Aurelien Tchouameni – 7
Solid, helped Real Madrid control the midfield area.
Eduardo Camavinga – 7
All-action display from the Frenchman, who will be seeking to give Alonso a selection headache for El Clasico.
Franco Mastantuono – 6
Not his night, as his efforts in attack usually went without reward. He was taken off early in the second half.
Jude Bellingham – 7
Still slightly off the pace, but he was always looking to be involved.

Rodrygo – 7
Good first half, but fell out of the game as it went on.
Kylian Mbappe – 7
Got the all-important goal, but aside of that, not a particularly great performance. He should have scored more than once, but his finishing was uncharacteristically poor.

Substitutes
Raul Asencio – 6
Shaky at times, but did well enough.
Vinicius Junior – 7
Changed the game for Real Madrid. He drew both Getafe red cards, with the first allowing Los Blancos to score moments later.
Arda Guler – 7
Excellent off the bench, and got a deserved assist for Mbappe’s goal with a fine through ball.
Brahim Diaz – 6
Little time to make an impact.
Gonzalo Garcia – 6
Little time to make an impact.

Real Madrid was always a TEAM.A great team of friends.
Now it is a ONE MAN SHOW.
He has to score ,they always have to pass to him & he has to shoot.
Many LOST opportunities for others to score.
Like yesterday with Getafe on the first few shots.
He should have passed the ball & maybe they would have scored!!!!!!!!
But that is only my humble opinion.
Madrid will improve with time. There is nothing that comes without facing challenges .Every player is important in Madrid and has contributed something. Even Mbappe”s decisive goal on Sunday vs Getafe came from team work. All the best this season just keep focused
I think the coach waited for too long to take off Mastantuono and Rodrygo. They were not in the game. Vini and Guler or Vini and Brahim should have started the match
I don’t believe in rotation for rotation’s sake!
