Barcelona manager Hansi Flick has surprised many with the faith he has shown in La Masia in his first season at the club, but it has brought excellent results in the form Marc Bernal and Marc Casado. However it has become apparent that there are some players that Flick is not entirely convinced by.

One of them is Ansu Fati, who is set to return from a hamstring injury next week, has been ravaged by fitness issues again this season, but even when he was fit played less than 200 minutes. On the other hand Eric Garcia has also missed nearly two months of action through fitness issues, but did play the majority of four games in a row in September.

However Flick has told both Fati and Garcia that if everyone is fit, they will struggle for regular minutes. If either wants to leave in the winter transfer window, then Flick would not stand in their way. The information comes from Sport, who go on to note that neither are planning on leaving currently, but may have offers in January. Both intend to rethink their future in the summer depending on how the season progresses.

The majority of Garcia’s minutes have come in midfield this season, following Marc Bernal’s season-ending injury, but Marc Casado has made the more defensive spot his own since Garcia’s injury. In addition, Frenkie de Jong and Gavi have returned from injury, while Andreas Christensen is also on the way back. For Fati, even when he was fit, it was clear that Flick has more trust in Pau Victor.

  1. the number one player flick should let go is ferran torres; he is not barca quality and shows nothing when he plays; eric provides better value than torres who pep pulled a fast one on barca by letting him go to barca!
