Champions League final rematch: How and where to buy tickets for Real Madrid v Borussia Dortmund

Real Madrid kicked off their defence of the Champions League trophy with a win over VfB Stuttgart, in what was anything but a routine win. Nobody doubts their ability to turn it on for the big nights though, and one of their biggest league phase ties will see Borussia Dortmund out for revenge following their final defeat at Wembley last year.

Los Blancos are hot favourites for the Champions League again this year alongside Manchester City, with the pair sharing the last three titles between them. Carlo Ancelotti’s side have added Kylian Mbappe to the mix, although it is fair to say that they have had some teething problems in the initial stages his spell.

The absence of Toni Kroos, combined with something of an injury crisis, has Ancelotti working hard to come up with solutions early on in the domestic campaign, as he looks to fit Mbappe together with Jude Bellingham, Rodrygo Goes and Vinicius Junior, who were so effective last year.

HOW TO BUY REAL MADRID V BORUSSIA DORTMUND TICKETS

Meanwhile Dortmund have bid farewell to Mats Hummels after a falling out with coach Edin Terzic. With big money rolling in from last year’s European campaign, Dortmund have recruited Pascal Gross, Serhou Guirassy, Maximilian Beier, Yan Couto and Waldemar Anton. Spending a total of €80m, they lost the experienced Marco Reus and Niclas Fullkrug, as well as Jadon Sancho and Ian Maatsen, whose loan deals expired.

Dortmund did give the Kings of Europe trouble in the first half of the final though, and to a certain extent, Terzic may feel that he can send out his men with the same plan, and hope for a more clinical performance from the likes of Karim Adeyemi and now Guirassy in place of Fullkrug. That said, the presence of Mbappe might force the Schwarzgelben to drop off a few more yards – it shapes up to be a brilliant clash.

How to get tickets for Real Madrid v Borussia Dortmund

The question is how to get to the game. Fans can head to Real Madrid’s club website in order to grab a ticket in the home end at the Santiago Bernabeu, which is where the clash will take place at 21:00 CEST, on the 22nd of October. However currently only VIP tickets, starting off at a remarkable €350. The general entry tickets are not available yet, but will likely be put on sale a week to two weeks before the game, which does not leave a great deal of time for travel arrangements. Tickets will also go on sale to members first.

Borussia Dortmund will also have an away allocation available for the match, which should be at least 4,000 tickets according to UEFA rules. However they are yet to put these up for sale, and are highly likely to be snapped up by their members.

On the other hand, third-party sites may also offer a chance for fans to get tickets ahead of time. The cheapest can be found at LiveFootballTickets.com, who are starting tickets at €158. They also have plenty available compared to some competitors, with close to 500 left at the time of writing. Trustpilot also score LiveFootballTickets.com at 4.8 out of 5, from over 10,000 reviews.

Stubhub start their prices at €179, and they have around half of the tickets available on LiveFootballTickets.com, while Viagogo are also more expensive at €170 for their cheapest seats. It’s an event that is not to be missed, and it would be no surrpise if it was a sell-out in the end.
