Barcelona have decided to go for a new right-back in the remaining days of the summer transfer window. At this stage, Marc Pubill has been strongly linked, and a loan-to-buy offer is reportedly being prepared for the Olympic gold medallist. However, it appears that he is not the priority target for the Catalans.
João Cancelo is still Barcelona's priority, despite recent talk of Marc Pubill. @ffpolo

According to MD, Barcelona remain steadfast on their decision to prioritise a return for Joao Cancelo. Club officials are hopeful that Manchester City will eventually allow the Portuguese defender to leave on loan with an option to buy, rather than an obligation.
Cancelo has been strongly linked with Saudi Arabia in recent days, but his preference is still a return to Barcelona. He may have to wait until the dying stages of the transfer window to get his wish, in similar fashion to last summer.
It remains to be seen how Barcelona go about signing their new right-back. Cancelo would be a very good offensive option, although he cannot be relied upon in big matches – as was shown against Paris Saint-Germain and Real Madrid last season.
