Napoli eyeing up summer move for Valencia starlet whose agents have spoken with Barcelona

Valencia could lose several of their biggest assets this summer. Giorgi Mamardashvili has been heavily linked with a move to the Premier League, and now Javi Guerra could also be on the exit ramp.

Earlier this week, it was reported that Barcelona sporting director Deco has held talks with Guerra’s agent, and now Napoli are showing an interest in the 20-year-old midfielder, as reported by Diario AS. Like Barcelona, they have also opened contact with the youngster’s representatives.

Napoli believe that Guerra would fit perfectly into the plans of incoming manager Antonio Conte. The Serie A side are looking for a complete, quality and young midfielder, and the Spain U21 international fits that description very nicely.

The report states that Valencia would look to receive €25m for Guerra, despite him having a €100m release clause. It remains to be seen if he ends up moving away from Los Che, but it would be a big blow for head coach Ruben Baraja if that ended up being the case.
