Ilkay Gundogan takes stance on Barcelona future amid links with Galatasaray

It hasn’t been an easy debut season at Barcelona for Ilkay Gundogan, but in an individual sense, he has been very impressed. He will be looking forward to playing under Hansi Flick in 2024-25, although in recent days, he has been linked with a summer move to Turkish giants Galatasaray.

However, Gundogan has no plans whatsoever to leave Barcelona, as reported by MD. The 33-year-old has a contract until 2025, and his intention is to reject any interest that comes his way, including from Galatasaray.

A move to Türkiye could be on the cards in a few years for Gundogan, but for now, he only thinks about Barcelona. Furthermore, he believes that he owes Flick for making him captain of the German national team, making him even more motivated to succeed next season.

Gundogan was undoubtedly one of Barcelona’s best performers last season, so there’s little to no chance of a deal being done this summer – much to Galatasaray’s disappointment.

I sense an idiotic side of him. I mean, you have to be an idiot if you remain in this obviously dysfunctional sh*tstain of a club, that has zero chance of winning a trophy upcoming seasons as RM will bring in worlds best player in Mbappe and add more sporting reinforcements while laPorka has to pull even more levers to sign leftover players or washed up hasbeens.

But on the other hand, when you have a salary of 9m per season, its not like anything matters, he is just enjoying his retirement at expense of barceIongo♿️id cataIani🪳ls.

Hahah flog that rotting corpse of a club HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAVAV
