Sunday’s trip to Sevilla will be Xavi Hernandez’s final match in charge of Barcelona, and although his intention is to take a sustained rest period from next week onwards, he could be tempted with an immediate return to management.
According to Pedro Almeida, Chelsea are planning to hold talks with Xavi, amid their search for a new manager. The Premier League giants announced the departure of Mauricio Pochettino earlier this week, and they could now go from a former Espanyol head coach to a former Barcelona one.

Although this season was not a good one for Barcelona, Xavi still guided them to La Liga and the Spanish Super Cup during the 2022-23 campaign, and his stock appears to have stayed at a high level.
It remains to be seen whether Xavi does emerge as a serious target for Chelsea. Wherever he does end up next, it will be interesting to see how he gets on after his time in charge at Barcelona.
