On Wednesday, it was reported that Barcelona sporting director Deco travelled to London alongside Bojan Krkic to meet with Hansi Flick, who is considered to be one of the leading candidates to become manager if Xavi Hernandez is sacked. However, this story has now been denied.
According to MD, sources close to Flick have denied that any meeting took place with Barcelona officials. The reports goes on to say that Deco and Bojan were indeed in London on Wednesday, but only for a stopover on their way to Dublin for the Europa League final between Bayer Leverkusen and Atalanta.
🚨 Deco and Bojan are heading to Dublin to attend the Europa League final. They only were in London for a stopover, so there was no meeting with Flick. @RogerTorello

The Barcelona managerial situation continues to throw up much speculation. Xavi’s position is seriously under threat, and recent reports have suggested that Joan Laporta intends to fire the 44-year-old at the end of the season, which concludes this weekend with a trip to Sevilla. There is sure to be more clarity on the matter next week.
