It’s been a very good week for Real Madrid, having been officially confirmed as La Liga champions last weekend, before progressing to the Champions League in spectacular fashion on Wednesday. They are on course to end the week in style too, having taken the lead against Granada.
It’s been a keenly-contested first half in Andalusia, with the hosts – whose relegation was confirmed earlier in the day following Mallorca’s victory over Las Palmas – standing up to the champions. However, their resolve has been broken now, with the opener coming from a surprise source: Fran Garcia.

It was great work from Brahim Diaz, whose cutback came all the way through to Garcia, who netted his first goal for Real Madrid since returning to the club last summer. A very proud moment for him indeed.
Real Madrid will now fancy their chances of adding more goals in the remaining minutes, as they target another three points in this dominant season.
