Real Madrid facing big decisions ahead of summer as offers pile up for prized youngsters

In recent seasons, a number of Real Madrid’s most promising younger players have made the step from Castilla to professional football – but not with the first team. Several have left to join other clubs, including the likes of Sergio Arribas and Carlos Dotor, although Los Blancos do still have a say in their futures, with sell-on and buy-back clauses available.

The same could happen again this summer, with Relevo reporting that Nico Paz and Mario Martin are just two of the players that have attracted offers from clubs in La Liga and Segunda. None will make the step up to Carlo Ancelotti’s squad for next season, so Real Madrid must decide whether to keep them with Castilla (who are close to the relegation zone in First Federation) or move them on, whether that be on loan or permanently.

It’s noted that some of the youngsters that have received offers are keen to make the step up next season, and Real Madrid are unlikely to stand in their way if that is the case. However, they will look to retain the chance to determine their future, as aforementioned with possible buy-back or sell-on clauses.
