Attacking talent’s price to Barcelona could be as low as €40m this summer

It’s a subject that’s going to come up many times between now and the summer – how much will Mason Greenwood cost?

His success at Getafe has plenty of teams interested, and it already looks like he’s going to be too expensive for Getafe whatever happens.

Mundo Deportivo were reporting all week about a meeting between Manchester United and Barcelona sporting director Deco, and that meeting has now taken place.

They say that the former midfielder was told that the attacker will cost something between €40m and €60m, with the exact number to be decided by the structure of payments and bonuses.

It seems that sending him to Getafe has drawn most of the toxicity out of the situation, and while Barca know it will still be a hard PR battle to win, they may consider this a deal too good to turn down for a 22 year old who has picked up 8 goals and 5 assists this season.
