Atletico Madrid midfielder Rodrigo De Paul could be a transfer target for the Saudi Pro League this summer.
The Argentina international is under contract in Madrid until 2026 and he remains an important figure in Diego Simeone’s plans.
However, the financial offer on offer in Saudi Arabia has proven to be tempting for players and clubs in the last 12 months.
As per reports from Fichajes.net, Al Ahli are considering a bold swoop for the 2022 FIFA World Cup winner, as part of a transfer overhaul at the club in 2024.
De Paul could bring in a fee of around €40m and that figure would be reinvested into Simeone’s squad as the club look to clear other debts.
Al Ahli are pushing for a place in the AFC Champions League next season and their squad already includes two former La Liga stars in Franck Kessie and Gabri Veiga after securing deals to sign them from Barcelona and Celta Vigo in 2023.
