Real Madrid team news vs Braga: Four changes from Sevilla draw, veteran duo in from the start

Real Madrid are hoping to make it three wins from three in this season’s Champions League when they take on Braga on Tuesday evening. Three points would ensure that Los Blancos have one foot in the knockout stages, having already defeated Union Berlin and Napoli on matchdays one and two respectively.

Carlo Ancelotti’s side go into the match in Portugal off the back of Saturday’s disappointing draw with Sevilla, and the Italian has opted to make four changes from the side that started in Andalusia. Captain Nacho Fernandez returns to the side after missing the last two La Liga matches through suspension, with David Alaba rested ahead of El Clasico on Saturday.

Fran Garcia replaces Ferland Mendy at left-back, while Eduardo Camavinga and Luka Modric replace Aurelien Tchouameni and Toni Kroos respectively.

Braga picked up a sensational comeback victory over Union Berlin on MD2, and they are hoping to make it back-to-back wins against the 14-time European champions.

Real Madrid will fancy their chances of continuing their 100% record in this season’s Champions League, although they cannot afford to be complacent against a good Braga side, who will look to use home advantage to cause an upset.
