Real Madrid relying on advantage over Manchester City and Liverpool for €150m Jude Bellingham signature

Real Madrid are confident they will get a deal for Jude Bellingham done this summer, feeling they have the edge over rivals Manchester City and Liverpool.

The final price is set to lie at around €150m for Bellingham, composed of €115m in a fixed fee, with up to €35m in variables for the talented 19-year-old, as per Marca.

While they are aware that Liverpool and City will offer more money for Bellingham to both Dortmund and the player, they feel they have a crucial advantage – Bellingham’s personal preference.

Los Blancos clearly feel they have convinced Bellingham that the Santiago Bernabeu is the place to be following Head of Recruitment Juni Calafat’s meeting with his father. His salary would be around €10m, signficantly lower than the €15m Borussia Dortmund were willing to offer him to stay, or what City and Liverpool might propose, but Real Madrid will not break their salary structure for him.

If commissions and money do end up being decisive, then Real Madrid know they will miss out on Bellingham, but they appear to be confident it will not.

With Luka Modric now 37, the stage is set for Bellingham to become Los Blancos’ most creative midfielder for the next decade. It could well see the Croatian depart this summer, if he does not feel he can win starting minutes in the Spanish capital. He is yet to agree a new deal with the club, with his contract up this summer.
