Real Madrid have a number of contract situations up in the air currently, and the Santiago Bernabeu were making their wishes clear during Madrid derby. The latest to do so is Vinicius Junior.
During their 1-1 draw with Atletico Madrid on Sunday, the Bernabeu broke out into songs of ‘Nacho stay’ on multiple occasions, asking defender Nacho Fernandez to extend his contract beyond this season.
After Real Madrid posted a picture of Dani Ceballos embracing Vinicius, the Brazilian asked Ceballos to stay too.
Before the World Cup, it looked almost certain that Ceballos would be moving on from Real Madrid this summer, with his contract expiring too. However he has turned in a number of excellent performances since the turn of the year, and now looks more than ready to remain at Real Madrid and compete for a starting spot.
Los Blancos are taking their time over offering him a renewal, if they do decide to do so, but it is believed that Ceballos’ priority is to stay in the Spanish capital.
