Real Madrid ‘willing to pay up to €1bn’ for Kylian Mbappe

Despite having felt betrayed by Kylian Mbappe when he chose to remain at Paris-Saint Germain earlier this year, Real Madrid are determined to bring him to the Spanish capital.

The World Cup golden boot winner was expected to leave the French champions for their Spanish counterparts at the end of last season, when his previous contract at the club was due to expire. However, to much surprise, he chose to renew at the Parc des Princes, signing a deal until 2024 with the option of a further year.

Real Madrid were said to be furious with the player, as they expected him to join in the summer. Despite this, Florentino Perez remains determined to land Mbappe. According to Gazzetta. It, he is prepared to break the bank to sign the 23-year-old, with the overall figure of the club’s proposal said to reach €1bn.

A four-year contract, with wages that would total €630m, are being reported. With an estimated transfer fee of around €150m, along with signing-on fees and agent commission, would see the overall total reach an incredible ten figures.

  1. So, how are we going to afford Gvardiol if we just bought Endrick for 60+, were after Bellingham, and we apparently are going for Mbappé as well?

    Asking for a friend.

  2. How is it possible that Real Madrid doesn’t break the La Liga salary cap having all those high level players and still thinking of buying even more top players?

Madrid will buy one more player, presumably Bellingham, and will be done with it. That is our sporting need right now. Along with Endrick that will have completed the rebuild.
