Pablo Sarabia explains the cultural difference between Sporting Club de Portugal and Paris Saint-Germain

Pablo Sarabia has opened up about life in Lisbon.

The Spaniard is currently on loan at Sporting Club de Portugal from Paris Saint-Germain and has enjoyed a fine season there.

He was asked what the difference of environments has been like.

“The change is very big but very nice,” Sarabia told Marca.

“To be honest I enjoyed being in both. In Paris we had a good group and it’s the same in Lisbon. The only thing is that at Sporting there are more young players who are learning.

“That sense of desire is noticeable.”

Sarabia has contributed 21 goals and nine assists for Sporting in the 45 appearances he’s made for them across all competitions.

The Portuguese side finished second in the Primeira Liga, six points behind Porto. They couldn’t quite defend their crown.

Sarabia will hope that his time in Portugal will help his case for a prominent role in Luis Enrique’s La Roja squad for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar. The 30-year-old has seven goals in 18 senior caps.

Spain have been drawn in Group E alongside Germany, Japan and the winner of Costa Rica and New Zealand’s intercontinental playoff.

Sarabia came through the youth system at Real Madrid before fine spells with Getafe and then Sevilla. He joined PSG in 2019.
