Atletico Madrid went out to of the Champions League to Manchester City on Wednesday night after losing 1-0 on aggregate. The fall-out was just as heated as the match itself.
During the closing stages of the tie, Atletico defender Felipe was sent off for swiping at Phil Foden on the touchline. After Foden rolled back onto the field of play, Stefan Savic came charging across to forcibly remove him from it once more.
Understandably, that wasn’t taken too kindly by Manchester City players and great battle of pushing and shoving ensued. That included some hair-stroking by the cantankerous Savic for Jack Grealish, with whom there was a scuffle in the first leg.

Just as that battle was continued on from a week ago, tempers continued to rule the hearts and minds of both sets of players, with a video here showing continued insults and attempts to get at each other.
No doubt staff and players from both sides will have been significantly calmed by the presence of the police and their truncheons towards the end.
