Villarreal and Bayern Munich’s predicted lineups for tonight’s Champions League clash

Villarreal welcome Bayern Munich to La Ceramica tonight.

It’s the first leg of their Champions League quarter-final and it’s a stern test indeed; they don’t come much bigger than Bayern.

The Bavarian giants have won the competition six times.

Unai Emery is expected to set up in a 4-4-2 as per Diario AS.

Gero Rulli will start in goal behind a back four of Juan Foyth, Raul Albiol, Pau Torres and Pervis Estupinan. Dani Parejo and Etienne Capoue will anchor midfield flanked by Yeremi Pino and Giovani Lo Celso. Gerard Moreno and Arnaut Danjuma will lead the line.

Julian Nagelsmann is expected to set Bayern up in a 4-2-3-1.

Manuel Neuer will start in goal behind a back four of Benjamin Pavard, Niklas Sule, Lucas Hernandez and Alphonso Davies. Joshua Kimmich and Leon Goretzka will play in a double pivot behind a trident of Serge Gnabry, Thomas Mueller and Kingsley Coman. Robert Lewandowski will lead the line.
