Sevilla are interested in Julian Draxler.
The Paris Saint-Germain footballer has been admired by Monchi for some time and the Andalusian club are preparing a summer move for the him according to Hadrien Grenier.
Draxler, 28, came through the youth system at Schalke before joining Wolfsburg in 2015. He left his native Germany for France two years later and has since made 198 appearances for PSG.
He’s contributed 26 goals and 41 assists for the French outfit in that time as well as managing to earn 56 caps for the senior German national team and score seven goals.
A left winger valued at €20m by Transfermarkt, he’d fit Sevilla’s modus operandi of finding hidden gems that could thrive if given a bigger role. Sevilla are currently trying to maintain growth.
And they’re not doing a bad job.
They’re currently second in La Liga, nine points behind Real Madrid. Their season has been conditioned, however, by their failure in Europe and the Copa del Rey.
They failed to make it out of their group in the Champions League before exiting the Europa League at the hands of West Ham United. Real Betis knocked them out of the Copa.
