Villarreal sweating on three stars ahead of crucial second leg with Juventus

Villarreal have a number of injury concerns ahead of their Champions League clash with Juventus.

The Yellow Submarine are preparing to head to Turin next week, facing Juventus in the second leg of their Champions League Round of 16 clash.

Unai Emery‘s men are currently locked at 1-1 following a hard-working first leg in which they were unlucky not to win.

With no away goals to worry about, the second leg is wide open.

But as with the case in the first leg, Villarreal have a number of injury issues, including star striker Gerard Moreno.

Moreno missed the first leg with a hamstring injury, and while he is closing in on a return, there is no guarantee he will be fit in time for next Wednesday.

There is also concern over Juan Foyth, who missed the weekend’s defeat to Osasuna with a small muscular issue, and Paco Alcacer continues to miss out due to a calf problem.

Francis Coquelin did return on the weekend after a couple of months out, so there is some good news.

But Moreno and Foyth will be the big concerns, though Villarreal did do very well in the first leg even without their top scorer.
