Real Madrid confirm matchday squad for Real Sociedad clash

Real Madrid have announced their matchday squad to face Real Sociedad on Saturday.

Los Blancos established a seven-point lead on those below during the week, defeating Athletic Club due to Karim Benzema‘s 12th goal of the season.

And this weekend, they face one of their potential title rivals, with Real Sociedad sitting in third place and seven points worse off as things stand.

The trip to San Sebastian will be a tricky one for Los Blancos, especially with given the demands that have been placed upon Carlo Ancelotti‘s usual starting XI over recent weeks.

But the Italian is set to go with his strongest team – or close to it – again this weekend given the difficulty of the game.

And while it doesn’t provide any clues to the starting XI, Real Madrid’s matchday squad has been announced ahead of the game.

It is as expected, too, with the same players available to Ancelotti, with only Dani Ceballos and Gareth Bale absent.

Ceballos is in light training on the grass, working on his own, while Bale is back in group training, though this one has come too soon for him.

Here is the matchday squad in full.
