Real Madrid prepared to cut losses on Luka Jovic amid Arsenal proposal

Arsenal are said to be interested in signing out-of-favour Real Madrid frontman Luka Jovic.

Jovic has failed to impress at the Santiago Bernabeu since his arrival from Eintracht Frankfurt in 2019, signing on a deal worth a whopping €60 million.

Last season, he was sent back to Frankfurt on loan in the January, but he returned ahead of this season desperate to make his mark.

Life remains tough for him in the Spanish capital, however, still stuck behind Karim Benzema and still seeing very little game time.

Jovic did have an injury problem recently, but he was fit enough to play over the weekend when Benzema was rested, only to see Mariano Diaz chosen ahead of him.

That was yet another blow for the Serbian, who is reportedly attracting attention ahead of the January transfer window.

According to transfer expert Ekrem Konour, Premier League giants Arsenal are interested in offering a loan deal with an option to buy for Jovic in January.

Meanwhile, Real Madrid are said to want €25m as the sale fee, prepared to cut their losses on the once highly-rated frontman.

At this point, Los Blancos are still happy to bring in fees for players who are not part of Carlo Ancelotti‘s plans ahead of their fresh attempts to sign Kylian Mbappe, even if they are below what they paid.

Jovic very much fits into that bracket, and should Mbappe arrive, he truly would have no chance of featuring between the Frenchman and Benzema.
