Seven Getafe players approach fans to make apology after latest defeat

Getafe are in the midst of a crisis after losing again on Monday evening in crushing fashion.

The Madrid-based side were thumped 3-0 at home by Celta Vigo, who haven’t impressed themselves this term.

Getafe are rooted to the bottom of the table and they have now lost eight of their first 10 games.

They have managed to draw to and remain winless, one of only two teams yet to win this season.

Getafe did recently sack managed Michel, who only arrived in the summer, replacing him with Quique Sanchez Florez, but improvement looks a long way off.

And that showed during their latest defeat, a very poor display against a Celta side who have looked vulnerable themselves so far this season.

The players need no reminding. After the game, which was played at the Coliseum Alfonso Perez, as many as seven Getafe players went over to the fans to apologise for their performance, both in the latest game and the season so far.

Getafe fans were treated to a number of impressive finishes under Pepe Bordalas, finishing eighth twice and fifth once.

They finished 15th last season and Bordalas moved on off the back of that campaign.

Getafe have struggled since, rock bottom and already on their second manager of the season.
