Eden Hazard’s El Clásico record sums up his underwhelming Real Madrid spell

Eden Hazard’s time at Real Madrid has been rather underwhelming so far.

The Belgian joined Los Blancos on a deal worth well over €100million two years ago, but he has never come close to the form he showed at Chelsea since.

Fitness issues have not helped, and so far, Hazard is in serious danger of becoming an undoubted flop.

And there is no better proof of that than the winger’s Clásico record.

Real Madrid signed Hazard to turn up and to be the difference in the biggest games, and there is no bigger than the Clásico.

But since Hazard arrived at Real Madrid, there have been five Clásicos and the Belgian hasn’t played a single minute.

He was injured for the first four, and on Sunday, when Real Madrid claimed a 2-1 win over Barca, Hazard was on the bench having just returned from injury.

Carlo Ancelotti decided not to risk him, and Hazard remains without any Clásico experience in a year when he is desperate to prove himself.
