Villarreal have reached an agreement to sign Watford player and former Tottenham midfielder Etienne Capoue on a two-and-a-half year contract, according to reports.
The details are outlined by a report in French media outlet RMC Sport, who say that confirmation of the deal will be processed in the Spanish press in the coming hours.

It follows on from a report in Marca earlier on Sunday that the Yellow Submarine were monitoring a deal for the holding midfielder but the stumbling block to any deal was whether or not the Championship side would be willing to let him go on a deal which sorted both parties.
The 32-year-old midfielder is still valued by the Hornets – who were relegated to England’s Championship earlier this year – and has started seven league games to date this campaign, including their Boxing Day victory at home to Norwich City.
Capoue will arrive to replace the void left in Villarreal’s midfield to an injury to Vicente Iborra, who is unlikely to return to the fray this campaign.
