Real Madrid are monitoring Inter midfielder Marcelo Brozovic with a view to making a summer bid, report El Mundo Deportivo.
Drawing on reports from the Italian press, it is claimed the Croatian is being monitored by Los Blancos and comes highly recommended by his international teammate Luka Modric.
The 27-year-old has been a key clog for Antonio Conte’s side this campaign and has already clocked up 28 appearances this term.
Brozovic joined the Milanese giants from Croatian club Dinamo Zagreb in a €5m deal in the summer of 2016 after an 18-month loan deal and has made 154 appearances in Serie A in the timeframe since.
He has a contract at the Nerazzurri through until the summer of 2022 and it is hard to envisage where he would fit in Madrid’s midfield with Casemiro and Fede Valverde both fundamental players this season in a similar role.
Brozovic – who has three goals and five assists this season – is valued by Transfermarkt at €60m.
