Unai Emery rejects Everton management position

Unai Emery has rejected the opportunity to manage Everton along with turning down two offers from China, report Marca.

Emery was sacked from his position at Arsenal last month following a prolonged run of bad form, despite taking the Gunners to last season’s Europa League final.

It had appeared he could make an immediate return to the Premier League with Everton – who had just dismissed Marco Silva – interested in the Spaniard.

However, the former Valencia and Sevilla boss has turned down the opportunity to move into the Goodison Park outfit, along with offers from two Chinese Super League clubs.

It is said by the report that Emery instead wants to focus on joining a club with the opportunity of winning silverware on a regular basis.

The Spanish boss has accumulated ten trophies in five years and has played in six European finals, the report adds.

He has coached in more than 600 games across La Liga, Ligue 1 and the Premier League.
