Barcelona defender Sergi Roberto has praised his team mates for sealing a late 1-0 La Liga win at rivals Atletico Madrid.
The Spanish international claimed the victory at the Wanda Metropolitano could prove to be vital to the Catalan side's La Liga title defence.
Lionel Messi scored in the 86th minute to clinch the win, but Roberto sad the whole team played their role in Madrid.
"Atletico Madrid put us under a lot pressure from the start, as we knew they would," he told reporters from Marca.
"The home fans made it very hard for us, and we made mistakes in the first half."
"The whole team worked to win this game, with Marc (Ter Stegen) making some importnat saves, and Leo (Messi) deciding the game."
"Matches like these are where the league can be decided, and we have had to suffer to win."
"But there is a long way to go, and many teams will pose a threat."
Barcelona move back above Real Madrid at the top of La Liga, with a demanding set of games on the horizon for Ernesto Valverde's side in the coming weeks.
They host Real Mallorca in league action this weekend, followed by a Champions League clash with Inter Milan, followed by games against Real Sociedad, Real Madrid and Alaves before the winter break.
