Real Madrid striker Karim Benzema is confident the club can now focus on La Liga after securing their place in the Champions League last 16.
Zinedine Zidane's side let a two goal lead slip at the Santiago Bernabeu, after a brace from the former French international, but results elsewhere mean they are into the knockout stages with a game to spare.
Despite securing their progress, Benzema was annoyed at not winning at full time, but was clear on the direction the club are moving.
"We have given everything in the game, as Real Madrid always do," he told reporters from Movistar, via Marca in his post match interview.
"The result is not what we wanted, as we always want to win."
"We are improving slowly, but there is still work to be done as a team."
"We can now concentrate on Alaves this weekend, and our La Liga games, now that qualification is confirmed."
Zidane's team face head to the Basque Country this weekend, ahead of a busy run of league games, with games against Espanyol and Valencia ahead of their El Clasico trip to Barcelona on December 18.
